A Hundred Days - a botanical novel
A Hundred Days – a botanical novel is an illustrated novel about the daily life of a woman living on an island for the hundred days of summer, from Victoria Day in May until Labour Day in September. On each of the hundred days, Rosemary observes and describes a different flower or herb, and reflects on her life in and out of the garden. The botanical observations were made in 1993. After Julie wrote the novel, she drew 100 black and white illustrations, one 2” square for each of the 100 chapters. It is out of print.
