This series was inspired by the beaches of Mayne Island, BC. The intertidal life, moving water, seaweed, sea grass, and seashells are always fascinating. These are large watercolours, 15"h x 40"w, painted with numerous washes and glazes to achieve intense colours. They were first displayed in Vancouver at the Barrett Post Gallery, in a Federation of Canadian Artists Juried Exhibition, and in the downtown Vancouver Public Library.
